Question for the Weekend
Why does Clarisse have so much influence over Guy? Would you say she changes him in a good way? Why does she vanish from the novel?

I think it's because Guy is so ripe for change in his life. She definitely changes him in a good way; he begins to question authority and thinking on his own. Why she vanishes from the novel is a mystery to me. I thought Bradbury would bring her back at some point. Maybe it's to signify that we must'nt let opportunities to learn in life pass us by. They may only come around once or twice and never appear again.
